Hello,
Today I read an interesting article that was posted 9 hours ago. It was unusual because the art blogger of the "Art's Blog Comments" usually doesn't write about things like that but I could tell that what he wrote about was disturbing to him. He quotes "I'd been thinking about the way bacterial colonies can be related to human social structures". The article structured around an scientist name Steven Kurtz.
Well like all the blog articles I have read they focus on some insight into what the media is doing as well as give history and objectively justify their opinions. The artist of this blog did not include and photography as he usually does however, he wrote about his feelings towards an scientist who was a professor and wrongly accused of bio-terrorism. The blogger thought that our government system was screwed up because they took this man through so much trouble and never stop to do a background check or ask anyone about his history. They just assumed after his wife's death that he had something to do with it and bio-terrorism. The blogger quotes at the end of his blog"I don't know, maybe I need to live life in another country for a while to gain some appreciation for what we've got here. Because right now, baby, I ain't feeling it."
My feelings towards this is just as raw and concerned as the blogger because as in any culture there is a system set in place to prove facts of the convicted to decide whether they are guilty or not. While it seems our system is sometimes reluctant to view the facts and provide a justified trail. The scientist was convicted of a twenty year imprisonment but was acquitted due to the help of his colleagues and supporters who proved he was not guilty but it still the principle of the matter.
Our society is always so quick to jump the broom to make a quick dollar rather than to do the right thing. It's like what the blogger was hinting to whether bacteria colonies are like human social structures . I believe in a way bacteria is like that because the weaker bacteria is eaten by the larger bacteria but when the smaller bacteria join together they become stronger and are able to fight of the bigger bacteria. In our society its similar to that, lower class or no authority is taken advantage of while upper class or higher authority prospers, but when lower class stands as one they over come the higher class.
